Guru Belajar dan Berbagi Platform and Users' Responses in The Context of Teacher Professional Development

  Abstract The recent research was conducted with the background that there was no study and less information about digital platforms launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, especially  Guru Belajar dan Berbagi  (Teachers Learning and Sharing). The research questioned what Guru  Belajar dan Berbagi  meant and how its user teachers responded to it. It aimed at explaining the definition and characteristics of the portal, and at discovering how it was responded by its user teachers. It used a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected through literature review and questionnaires toward 29 SMA Negeri 7 Cirebon teachers. Reviewing continuing professional development concept of English teachers from the lens of Diffusion of Innovation Theory

  Abstract The main problem of the recent study is how the concept of English teacher Continuing Professional Development is reviewed from Everett Rogers’ Innovation Diffusion Theory. So, the research aimed at finding the review of the Innovation Diffusion Theory of Rogers toward the concept of Continuing Professional Development of English teachers in Indonesia. This study employed library research as the method and the researcher himself as the instrument to collect data deriving from books as a primer resource and ministry regulation and journal articles as secondary resources. It was conducted through several stages ranging from selecting topics based on the problem; exploring information related to the topic; determining research focus; reading the books, regulations and articles as data resources; recording what was found as research data; and, processing the recorded data. IMPROVING READING COMPREHENSION SKILL THROUGH QTB STRATEGY

  Abstract The paper reports the research “Improving Reading Comprehension Skill through QTB Strategy.” It aimed at discovering the effectiveness of reading comprehension instruction, the use of reading comprehension strategies, and the improvement of reading comprehension skill. The research was conducted through the Class Action Research (CAR) method in two cycles, each going with three phases: plan, act and observe, and reflect. It was given to the twelfth graders of Science Program 2 in SMA Negeri 1 Babakan Kabupten Cirebon. The data were collected from the subjects through structured observation, questionnaire, and written reading comprehension test. The first was instrumented with checklist formats to record the data of instructional plan, teaching performance, and learning performance.
